Fall Dressing

It's that time of year again! Here I take a look back at some of the trends of the fall 2013 collections.

Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Chanel, Balenciaga, Celine
There was a huge focus on minimal colours this season. Black, white and grey were all over the runways. Having a wardrobe full of these colours would make for easy outfit-planning. Also in the monochrome trend were other neutral colours like navy and cream.
Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Rochas, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior
Fall took Dior's New Look of the 1950's and gave it a modern twist. Luxurious fabrics formed A-line dresses and skirts. Trés chic.
Prada, Marni, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Hermès
Whether in the form of a chubby jacket, cuffs or a stole, fur featured in many of the collections. Most of the fur came in shades of brown, but the birds-of-paradise at Fendi were decked out in a rainbow of colours. Regardless of colour, a  fur coat is definitely an investment for fall dressing.
Jil Sander, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Max Mara, Christopher Kane
Coats came in a variety of shapes, colours and textures for fall. The oversized silhouette, however, was a stand-out. A great way to add a masculine aspect to any outfit.

UNIform

It's that time of year... Australian students are back at uni next week. Going to university while it's still very much summertime can be a drag, especially when it's too hot to think about wearing nice clothes. Here I have compiled a list of my ideal university uniform for the summer months to get me inspired.

Happy New Year!

I'm looking forward to starting a new year and having no idea what experiences and opportunities lay ahead. I'm all about being organised this year, and this goes for my wardrobe too. I want to invest in some classic pieces that I can wear all year. Mainly simple styles with a few statement pieces to play with. Here are some looks that are floating around my mind.

Stripes

Lately I've noticed that whenever I walk into a clothing store or I see images of clothing on the internet I am immediately attracted to those with stripes. I dont know what it is, perhaps their ability to allow a basic or boring idea for an outfit appear a lot more attractive. These are all photos I stole from style.com and would like you to see.
